Augusta Massey is a mom, a lawyer and educator. When she was a teenager, her family fled their native Nigeria after witnessing her father’s violent death. She settled in Memphis, Tennessee, and set out to get a college degree. She worked full-time while taking up to 26 credits per semester to obtain two associates degrees in engineering within two years.
