Statement
My decisions will always be based on the facts, the law, and what is just. This candidate has not submitted a statement.

Elissa Cadish studied Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania in 1986. She went on to study law at the University of Virginia School of Law in 1989. After graduation, she moved to Las Vegas and clerked for two years for United States District Judge Philip M. Pro. She then entered private practice where she focused on commercial litigation and employment law. She practiced most recently at Hale Lane Peek Dennison and Howard, where she worked from 1995 until August of 2007, becoming a shareholder at Hale Lane in 2000. In July of 2007, she was appointed to fill the District Judge vacancy in Department 6 where she presently serves. She was President of the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys from 2004 to 2006, and remains an active member in that organization. She is also a Master in the Howard D. McKibben Inn of Court. Later, she served as Chair of the Court’s Civil Bench Bar Committee from 2008 until 2011, President of the Howard D. McKibben Chapter of the American Inn of Court from 2010 to 2012, Judicial Representative on the Clark County Bar Association’s Executive Board from January 2010 to December 2011, and is currently Chair of the State Bar’s Law Related Education Committee. She was recently elected to membership in the American Law Institute. A district judge since 2007, she strives to treat everyone in her courtroom with courtesy and respect, which includes reading everything submitted including pertinent legal authorities prepared for every hearing. She rules based on the facts and the law, and clearly explains her decisions and reasoning. She looks forward to bringing these habits and work ethic to the Supreme Court of Nevada. She intends to uphold the rule of law, so that the law is applied consistently without regard to the race, religion, financial status, or political influence of the parties or attorneys. She will evaluate each case on its own merits and ensure that justice is done. She will continue to be active in the community and listen to concerns expressed by Nevadans so that the court system is responsive to those issues. She has earned the respect of the Nevada Supreme Court Justices who have been reviewing her decisions for the last ten years, her colleagues on the district court, attorneys, and parties who have appeared before me. She hopes to earn your vote in this year’s election for Nevada Supreme Court Seat C.
