Kerri Maxey's journey into juvenile law began at the William S. Boyd School of Law, where she participated in the Juvenile Justice Clinic. In 2005, she joined the Clark County Public Defender's Office, where she was assigned to the juvenile division. She served as a staff attorney in the Minor Guardianship Advocacy Program at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, Inc.
