The medications she depended on to survive created a severe hormonal imbalance — disrupting her sleep, clarity, emotions, and physical strength. There was another challenge that few knew about: her hearing was deteriorating — she needed hearing aids. She couldn’t hear well, so her voice would naturally grow louder. People heard volume. They didn’t see the medical condition behind it. Then, to add to an already challenging and emotional situation, Judge Perry lost her sister to cancer. Two months later, she lost her father — her most significant source of strength. Through all this tragedy, Judge Perry persevered.
